The food drive caters to vulnerable children and families in need and living in poverty in communities we have access to.
Also, when we learned that the girls in our scholarship program barely had one meal per day. We knew we had to step in to do beyond the school lunch allowances allocated with the scholarships. So, as a part of "The Happy Project" initiatives, we wanted to ensure that no girl child in our program is attending school hungry. We know that no child can be productive in school if they are not well fed. Hence, we decided to embark on the food drives to ensure the families had meals for the children in our programs, to ensure they remain in good health and are highly productive in school.
